Street Medicine
Ritter Center’s Health & Wellness Outreach Team brings support directly to those most in need in Marin County. Our fully equipped Street Medicine Van reaches unhoused people to provide vital care, foster community, and build trust, traveling to where the need is greatest and connecting with individuals facing barriers to accessing care in traditional settings.
Ritter Center’s Clinic Manager, Rachelle Valenzuela, oversees Ritter Center’s Street Medicine program and leads our Outreach Team that includes a medical provider, patient navigator/medical assistant, and benefits specialist. The Team provides both urgent primary medical care and preventive care, while connecting patients to wrap-around services that may include behavioral health support, shelter and housing resources, medical insurance registration, and access to food and income.
