Ritter Center is Moving!
Ritter Center is moving to a new facility at 800 A Street in San Rafael — just two blocks from our current location.
Same staff, same services, same commitment to our community. New home.
Timeline
Ritter Center will begin our move in late May 2026. Departments will move in stages, beginning with Case Management.
Case Management will be closed May 28th-June 2nd, 2026. They will re-open at 800 A St on June 3rd.
Community Market (formerly known as Food Pantry) does not yet have he move scheduled. In order to prepare for the move we have a some temporary closures at 16 Ritter St.
The Community Market temporary closures:
Closed June 4th – June 5th, 2026
Open June 8th & 9th at 16 Ritter St.
Closed June 10th – 12th, 2026
Other than the temporary closures, regular operating hours at 16 Ritter St. until the move is scheduled are:
Monday: 9am – 12pm & 1pm – 3pm
Tuesday: 9am – 12pm & 1pm – 3pm
Wednesday: 9am – 3pm
Thursday: Closed
Friday 9am – 12pm
Medical Clinic and Behavioral Health departments do not yet have their move scheduled. Check back regularly for new updates.

No! We are moving to a brand new facility just 2 blocks away. All services continue.
Will my provider change?
No. All of our staff are moving with us. You’ll see the same familiar faces.
Where exactly is the new location?
800 A Street, San Rafael, CA 94901 — on the corner of A Street and Second Street. It’s only 2 blocks from our current location at 16 Ritter Street.
How do I get there by bus/train?
We’re a 10-minute walk from the San Rafael Transit Center, where Golden Gate Transit buses and the SMART train arrive.
Is there parking?
Yes! We have a small on-site parking lot with EV charging stations.

We are working hard to minimize any disruption. Most services will continue as usual. Specific departments may have short closures during their move — we’ll communicate those dates in advance on the timeline at the top of this page.
