Shop at Sloat Garden Center June 14-16 and Your Purchases Support Local Food Banks
Stock up on plants and garden supplies at any Sloat Garden Center location from Sunday, June 14 through to Tuesday, June 16 and help feed community members in need.
On June 14, 15, & 16, Sloat Garden Center will make a 10% donation of all pre-tax purchases to Ritter Center, SF Marin Food Bank, and Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano. This will be shared equally between the three charities. Gardeners will also be able to increase this donation by making an additional contribution in the stores – just ask at checkout!

Ritter Center is helping families and individuals with little to no income in Marin County keep their homes, find shelter, access healthcare, and obtain food. Our food pantry has experienced a significant increase in demand. Our dedicated staff and volunteer teams are serving more than 350 – 400 households per week.
Many never expected to need our help but COVID-19 is affecting hardworking families and individuals. Job instability, income loss, home loss, health worries, and the strain of sourcing food each day is enormous for many.
Our food pantry is open in San Rafael on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 10am-12:30pm and 1pm-3pm. Click here for COVID-19 changes in services and hours.
