Thank You Emergency Fund Appeal Donors

If there is one thing the pandemic has taught us, it is that we are all connected. In fact, it is this very connectivity that created the foundation for our recent COVID-19 Emergency Fund Appeal campaign to provide rental assistance and support our shelter-in-place programs.

We are delighted to tell you that thanks to over 120 donors we exceeded our $75,000 goal! Every single dollar makes a difference for those living on the edge of becoming homeless or who already are homeless in Marin County and impacted by the pandemic.

We want to sincerely thank our past and present board members, staff, family, friends, and volunteers for digging deep to give to our campaign along with major contributors including:

Marin Community Foundation: A gift from an anonymous donor will be split between rental assistance and our healthcare services so we can continue providing safe in-person care at our Center.

Sloat Garden Center: This generous $10,000 matching gift spurred new donors to give putting us over the fundraising finish line.

We want to give a huge virtual hug to our friends at our fellow nonprofit St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin County . Our campaign inspired them to allocate more funds to the county’s rental assistance relief program. Together we can do more to prevent homelessness.

“In the spirit of what Ritter Center achieved during their fundraising efforts, our Board is dedicating $50,000 to help with rental assistance,” said Christine Paquette, Executive Director, St. Vincent de Paul Society of Marin County.

No single entity can effectively address the homeless crisis. It is through collaboration with other agencies, businesses, organizations, the county, and individuals like you that we are making great progress to end homelessness in Marin. Together, we will help our most vulnerable community neighbors get through this health crisis and beyond.

With gratitude,

Mark Shotwell
Executive Director
Ritter Center

THANK YOU ALL!
